Their presentation \u201cCollaborative Networks and International Research Publication Practices\u201d explored the connection between scientists\u2019 collaboration structures and the language used in their publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/dilan4scientists.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/foto-2-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1594\" style=\"width:532px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dilan4scientists.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/foto-2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dilan4scientists.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/foto-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dilan4scientists.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/foto-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dilan4scientists.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/foto-2-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/dilan4scientists.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/foto-2.jpg 2040w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:13px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Their interdisciplinary approach involved looking at the social dimension of publishing in high-stakes impact factor journals and the textual dimension:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>how scientists collaborate via co-authorship networks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the linguistic features of article titles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>They reported on a study of 11 EU STEM researchers that reveals that centrality and network position are more crucial for visibility than productivity alone. <strong>Bridges<\/strong> between communities are also key to impact. Importantly, they found that researchers occupying <strong>central network positions<\/strong> (those with significant influence) tend to use article titles with distinct linguistic features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:13px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Findings underscore the need to train researchers in both effective collaboration and crafting impactful titles to increase visibility and impact.
