DILAN participated in the Summer Course ‘Digital Identities’ at the University of Santiago de Compostela

From 15 to 18 July 2024, DILAN members participated in the summer training course ‘Humanidades Dixitais: recursos, ferramentas e servizos’, organised by the Instituto da Lingua Galega of the University of Santiago de Compostela.

This training course, held in in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia – Spain), focused on teaching attendees how to implement digital innovation projects in the field of social sciences and humanities.

In his presentation of the course, Daniel Lisbona from the Ibercivis Foundation shared the progress of the DILAN project, emphasising the digital tools that the project is developing in order to improve researchers’ and students’ scientific communication skills that will be available in the following months. DILAN’s work in the development of quality content for training actions in basic science communication – such as the video abstract or creating profiles on social media. DILAN was very well received by the attendees and the course management, who shared the importance of having basic skills to be able to share their scientific advances with the public.  

DILAN’s activity continues with the development of courses and training activities to enhance the scientific communication skills of the European research community, which will ultimately result in the launch of a MOOC that collects all the content developed by the project’s specialists.
