On 17-18 October, our partners from Ovidius University of Constanța (Romania) hosted the second dissemination event of the European project DILAN targeting an international doctoral audience.
The second dissemination event organized by Ovidius University of Constanța, was held within the broader framework of the doctoral event “Doctoralia Ovidiana” 2025, and conceived from a multidisciplinary perspective. It addressed PhD candidates and researchers in training with the aim to promote critical reflection on the way science is communicated to academic communities and society.
The first day of the dissemination event featured the Keynote Speech How do we communicate science? Genres of scientific discourse, instruments of epistemic authority by Alina Buzatu (Ovidius University of Constanța) and the Round Table From research to social impact: the role of the researcher in promoting knowledge, moderated by Monica Vlad, with the participation of the researchers Oana Carciu (University of Zaragoza), Cătălin Pavel (Ovidius University of Constanța) and Roxana Patraș (Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași).
On the second day, a panel was dedicated to discuss DILAN’s online training: its short online science communication course and its piloting phase. This session was chaired by Oana Carciu (University of Zaragoza), and included the participation of multiple DILAN’s partners:

- Lupu Dana’s talk: Exploring Stance and Engagement in Scientists’ Written Interaction. Case study: exchanges on the DILAN e-learning platform
- Luca-Husti Monica’s & Murea Mirona Maria’s presentation: Insights drawn from our participation in the piloting of the DILAN course on “Online Science Communication”
- Simion Anca-Andreea’s & Steriu Luminița’s talk: Une immersion interdisciplinaire dans les genres numériques : l’apprentissage réflexif et collaboratif des jeunes chercheurs dans le cadre du cours DILAN
- Strugaru Alina’s presentation: Poziționare autorială prin secvențe lexicale recurente în scrierea academică a studenților
