As part of WP5 work in progress, DILAN’s members are participating in several co-design sessions led by Ibercivis. The purpose is to share and discuss our experience with e-learning platforms.
These sessions involve general meetings with representatives from all institutions in order to discuss ongoing work in WP5. The main goal of WP5 is to develop the technological infrastructure (an e-learning platform) that will support the short online course and the MOOC on Digital Science Communication that the consortium is preparing.
The initial meeting was held in March, and follow-up sessions with individual partners (P2, P3, P4, and P5 respectively) are taking place. All in all, these sessions are aimed at collaborating with potential end-users (researchers and students) who can tell us more about their own needs and translate them into requirements for the future e-learning platform.
After fruitful discussions, we have so far agreed that the e-learning platform should satisfy, at least, the following requirements:
- Tools for interaction between students and instructors
- Resources to keep track of progress
- Capacity to deal with high amounts of documents
- Testing space before launching the courses
